Participants listed a range of possible benefits that FIT might introduce, which can be viewed (in edited form) and in the full report (unedited). It is interesting to note that a number of the ideas mentioned are things that FIT already does, e.g. sending letters of congratulation to member organisations on important occasions, sharing information, having a link to member associations on the FIT website. This indicates that associations do not always pass information from FIT on to their members. It was also clear that many individuals do not realise that FIT’s focus is associations rather than individuals. However, the Federation is aware that individuals need to see a benefit to their organisation’s membership of FIT and will try to make this more apparent in future.
